The car John will be using for the foreseeable future is a 1982 Mk1 Fiesta. The car was orginally registered way back in 1982 as a 1.0 Economy L but has undergone a massive transformation in the last few years.
It is now a Stage Rally Tarmac Spec Rally Car, sporting an upgraded 1.6 XR2 CVH engine breathing through twin 40 webbers running at just over 130bhp. Vernier pulleys, tilton paddle clutch, kent cam, quaife gearbox and lsd, mocal oil cooler, 4 branch manifold, ashley full exhaust sytem, rear disc brakes and all the neccessary safety equipment are also installed to make this a very competitive car.
